Linvoy Primus played professional football for 16 years including nine years for Portsmouth where he became a cult hero. Following his retirement due to a knee injury, they subsequently named a stand at Fratton Park after him for his services to the club. He began his career as a young professional at Charlton Athletic before moving to play for Barnet and Reading before ending up on the south coast.

In a wide ranging conversation with Graham Daniels, he talks about the uncertainty he felt as he started out his career before dwelling on the fear that plagues you as a professional footballer as well as the isolation and loneliness they can feel.
