Sunday, 18th October
Pray ahead of New Year Training, our annual conference happening across three venues in December and January. Pray that many students would sign up to attend, and that God would guide Christians in Sport staff as they prepare the teaching programme for the conference.
Monday, 19th October
Pray that God would use Game Day, our weekly devotion applying the Bible to sport, to encourage competitive and elite sportspeople as they seek to live and speak for Jesus in their context of playing, coaching or officiating.
Tuesday, 20th October
Women’s Elite Sport
Give thanks for the cohort of elite sportswomen from a range of sports who meet regularly to pray and read the Bible together. Pray for opportunities to connect with and support more sportswomen in this way.
Wednesday, 21st October
Pray for university groups as they gather during the autumn term, mostly on Wednesday mornings. Pray that timetables and other commitments wouldn’t prevent meetings from happening and that the groups would continue to encourage university students to live and speak for Jesus within their sports clubs and teams.
Thursday, 22nd October
European Christian Sports Union (ECSU)
Give thanks for our partnership with ministries across Europe who share the vision to reach sportspeople with the good news of Jesus. Pray for the ECSU strategy team gathering this week, that God would guide this team as they seek His wisdom to lead and shape the movement.
Friday, 23rd October
Give thanks to God for the opportunity for Graham Daniels to speak on BBC Radio 2’s ‘Pause for Thought’ this morning. Pray that those listening would be encouraged to consider the good news of Jesus for themselves having heard these short reflections.
Saturday, 24th October
The Internship
Give thanks for our interns Cara, Jane, Lucy and Peter as they undergo training and work supporting students this term through 1-2-1 and group Bible studies, as well as helping to deliver events in schools and churches. Pray that they would be strengthened in their faith as they serve the work.

2026 is special for Christians in Sport; on Wednesday, 18th February, we marked fifty years since a small group met with the conviction that God cared deeply about sport, and that He would act in the world of sport if they prayed.
