Sunday 12th July
Mission Resources
Pray that God would use resources produced by Christians in Sport, including the Sports Mission Pack and a short tract published by 10ofThose, to enable and support mission to sportspeople across the UK during the FIFA World Cup.
Monday, 13th July
Sports Plus Coaching
Pray for the team of sports coaches that will serve at Sports Plus this summer. Pray that young people would develop good relationships with coaches at each week and would be able to develop in their sport and enjoy training sessions as a context where they can worship God.
Tuesday, 14th July
Church Partners
Praise God for churches across the country that support the work through giving and prayer. Pray that these church congregations would be encouraged as they hear of the gospel bearing fruit in the world of sport.
Wednesday, 15th July
Young Performance Athletes (YPAs)
Pray for YPA parents & guardians as they support and encourage their children on elite performance pathways. Pray that God would give them wisdom of how to point their children to Jesus. Give thanks for the regular YPA parent zoom calls and pray these would continue to be a valuable help.
Thursday, 16th July
Sports Plus Safeguarding
Pray for everyone involved in Sports Plus over the summer, for their health and safety and for no major illness or injuries. Pray for the safeguarding of young people – that every leader would be wise in the way they act towards each young person.
Friday, 17th July
Game Day
Over 2,500 people receive Game Day - a weekly devotion from Christians in Sport each week. Pray these devotionals would brilliantly help competitive and elite sportspeople to live and speak for Jesus on their game day and help encourage them pray for those they play and train with.
Saturday, 18th July
BBC Radio 4 Sunday Service
Give thanks for the opportunity to host tomorrow’s ‘Sunday Service’ on BBC Radio 4, on the day of the FIFA World Cup Final. As many listen, pray that they would be encouraged to further investigate the good news of Jesus after hearing the service.

2026 is special for Christians in Sport; on Wednesday, 18th February, we marked fifty years since a small group met with the conviction that God cared deeply about sport, and that He would act in the world of sport if they prayed.
