UEFA Women’s Euro 2025
Give thanks for Euro 2025 as the final is played this evening. Pray for Christian players and coaches that whether they achieved their goals or not they would know their identity is rooted in Christ. Pray for the ongoing work of finding and connecting Christian women who play or coach at the top of the game, and supporting them to live and speak for Jesus.
Monday, 28th July
Sports Plus Main & Team Meetings
Pray that the Morning Meetings, lunchtime Team Meetings and Evening Meetings would combine effectively to create an atmosphere in which God is glorified. Pray that young people would actively engage with these Bible teaching elements and that the Spirit would convict, encourage and teach young people in Gospel truth.
Tuesday, 29th July
Sports Plus Coaching
Pray that young people and coaches would develop good relationships as the week goes on and that young people would enjoy the training programmes, develop in their sport, and play as worship to God. Pray for great fun and enjoyment of God’s good gifts during Team Challenge each day.
Wednesday, 30th July
Sports Plus Teaching
Pray for the Sports Plus teaching programme. Pray that the Evening Meeting talks in Mark’s Gospel and the Morning Meeting talks in Hebrews 12 would be faithful, understood and applied to every young person.
Thursday, 31st July
Baylor Global Congress
Pray for Graham Daniels speaking on his PhD research at the Global Congress on Sport and Christianity at Baylor University in Texas today. Pray that delegates will be encouraged, and that academic work in the field of sport and faith would contribute to the growth of ministry in the world of sport.
Friday, 1st August
Sports Plus
Give thanks for Belfast 1, Brecon 1 and Monkton 1 as these three Sports Plus camps finish today. Pray that leaders and young people would leave the week feeling encouraged to live and speak for Jesus in their own world of sport.
Saturday, 2nd August
British Athletics Championships
Pray for track and field athletes competing this weekend at the British Championships. As some Christian athletes strive to be British Champion or make the World Athletics Championship team, pray that they may know they are secure in Christ, irrespective of the outcome of their event.
