Stirling Christian Union weekend away
Pray for Josh Strike speaking at the Stirling CU weekend away ahead of supporting their university mission week in February. Pray that students would be encouraged in their faith and witness to friends at university as they spend time in the Bible and praying together during the weekend.
Monday, 3rd November
IFES FEUER Conference
Give thanks for the opportunity for Duncan Leese to join with others involved in evangelistic student ministries across Europe at the FEUER conference run by IFES. Pray that this opportunity to connect, and share best practice would be an encouragement to all those attending the conference.
Tuesday, 4th November
Elite Track & Field Athletics
Pray for elite track and field athletes as many are beginning training towards indoor and outdoor goals in 2026 after their off season. Pray that God would continue to grow the number of Christian elite athletes and that we’d be able to support them through group and 121 Bible studies during the season.
Wednesday, 5th November
Students
Pray for university groups as they gather during the autumn term, mostly on Wednesday mornings. Pray that logistics wouldn’t prevent meetings from happening and that the groups would continue to encourage university students to live and speak for Jesus within their sports clubs and teams.
Thursday, 6th November
Dialogue dinners
Pray for university students who are organising meals for their teammates with the intention of sharing a short gospel presentation or a testimony, and the chance to talk about the good news of Jesus. Pray that these events helpfully enable guests to consider Jesus as they share food and discussion.
Friday, 7th November
St Andrews Leyland Sports Quiz
Pray for the Sports Quiz hosted tonight at St Andrews church in Leyland with Simon Poole sharing a short talk on the good news of Jesus. Pray for boldness for those inviting guests to the quiz and for continued opportunities to share Jesus after the event.
Saturday, 8th November
Perth Local Network Gathering
Give thanks for last night’s network gathering in Perth. Pray that Christian sportspeople would be encouraged in their witness after the gathering as they met to pray and together look to reach local sportspeople with the good news of Jesus.
