Sunday, 20th September
Partner Evenings
Give thanks for the opportunity to host evenings in churches around the UK throughout 2026 celebrating 50 years of God's faithfulness in sport, and growing partnership with Christian in Sport to enable the next season. Pray that many would be able to attend our final Partner Evening on Wednesday 7th October at Bridge Chapel, Liverpool.
Monday, 21st September
Staff Days
Pray as Christians in Sport staff meet together as a whole staff team today and tomorrow. Pray for God’s wisdom and direction and that it would be an encouraging time reflecting and planning as we work to support the mission of reaching the world of sport for Christ.
Tuesday, 22nd September
The Internship
Thank God for our four new interns: Cara, Jane, Lucy and Peter, as they join the Christians in Sport staff team this September. Pray that God would use this year to strengthen them in their foundations in Christ as they undergo the programme together.
Wednesday, 23rd September
London Graduates
Every year many students involved in CIS university groups move to London for work. Pray for graduates that have moved to London this year, that they’ll find good local churches and continue to witness for Christ in sport as many of them look to join new clubs and teams.
Thursday, 24th September
Elite Cricket
As the final round of the County Championship begins today, give thanks for the small number of Christian players we know and support. Pray that God would raise up more Christians within elite cricket and that we’d be able to connect with and support them to live and speak for Jesus.
Friday, 25th September
Students
Give thanks to God for new Christian students with a passion for sport. Pray that these students would be able to find good churches and settle in quickly. Pray that Christians in Sport university groups would be able to find and connect with new student sportspeople.
Saturday, 26th September
Season 50 Matched Funding
Give thanks to God for the generosity that has enabled any new or increased regular giving to Christians in Sport to be matched this year. Pray that all of the available matched funding can be drawn down this year, and that this enables fruit in the mission of reaching sportspeople for Christ.

2026 is special for Christians in Sport; on Wednesday, 18th February, we marked fifty years since a small group met with the conviction that God cared deeply about sport, and that He would act in the world of sport if they prayed.
