Christians in Sport is about to begin a three-year pilot programme of bringing the gospel primarily to young sportspeople living in areas of deprivation in the UK.

We are looking to recruit Sports Outreach Workers, either full-time or part-time, based around the UK who are passionate and gifted in reaching young people with the gospel.

The role will focus on the following:

• Delivering dozens of sport-based youth projects (eg after school clubs or holiday clubs) that proclaim the gospel.
• Nurturing relationships with local stakeholders where projects can be delivered
• Growing the number of projects run year on year.
• Reflecting on lessons learned from this pilot.

The role can be full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time (from 2.5 to 4 days a week). Some evening and weekend work may be required. There are 25 days annual leave (pro rata), plus statutory holidays.
